Here at Alpine Printing, we are led by our Owner and President, Doug Groskopf. Doug took over as General Manager in 1991, and became our Owner in 1993. Not only does Doug continue to manage day-to-day operations, he’s always on hand to make sure you receive only the highest quality print product and the best customer service for your 100% satisfaction.

After working in the printing industry for over 25 years, Doug has even more passion for the industry today than when he began learning bindery operations in 1984. Doug’s passion is fueled, in part, by the ever-evolving nature of the printing industry itself – with its constantly changing newer, better, faster, and greener technologies.

In fact, according to Doug, “as technologies improve, we are able to provide our clients with higher quality printing products – produced faster and for less money – all while reducing our environmental impact. The evolution of the industry has been fascinating to be a part of, and it’s far from over.”

Our gifted Pre-Press Technicians help you
prepare and perfect your files for printing.

Next, you will be able to work with our Pre-Press Technicians in our Digital Pre-Press Department, each of whom have an average of 20 years of design experience. Not only will our technicians ensure that you are completely satisfied with the appearance of your project before it goes to press – they can work with almost any program to turn your files into the perfect printed product. Our press operators are the most experienced members of our staff, with an average of 32 years of press experience each. Every single operator is extremely meticulous and dedicated to ensuring that your printed product is perfect from the first sheet to the 100,000th. In fact, our press operators are so talented that Kodak, on several occasions, has come to Alpine Printing to work with us in testing new products. This is because, Kodak, like several other manufacturers, has found that they can rely on our highly experienced staff for an honest and thorough assessment of their Research and Development products.

Finally, in our bindery plant, our bindery machine operators average 20 years of experience in the industry. From final trimming your business cards on our precision cutter, to producing 60 page handbooks on our Stahl sticher trimmer, our bindery pros will put all of the right finishing touches on your project to ensure that you get the most professional appearance possible.

How our ongoing efforts to go green
help save money – and our environment.

At Alpine Printing, we have also been a leader in the Denver area in our on-going commitment to go green. In 2004, we completely eliminated the use of chemicals in our Pre-Press Department by using process-less aluminum printing plates exclusively, 100% of which are recycled after use.

In addition, we only partner with paper suppliers whose commitment to sustainable forest management is equal to our own; and we offer high quality recycled and post-consumer content paper to our clients like yourself, to help you go green as well.

Furthermore, we use only low volatility inks and press wash solutions; and all of our waste products, including 100% of our paper and cardboard production waste, are recycled.

More of our green initiatives include:

• Sequencing printing jobs by ink color when possible to reduce ink and clean-up waste.
• Re-using paper stock for press set up and make ready.
• Using biodegradable and waste paper packaging products instead of petroleum-based foam packaging “peanuts”.
• Utilizing electronic proofs rather than hard copy reproductions whenever possible.
• Reducing energy consumption by operating our large equipment on extended hour, four day work weeks whenever possible.
